schoolsthatrockSANIFAA Johannesburg Indoor Archery. Sophia Pieters, leerder van Bethlehem Voortrekker Hoërskool, het Saterdag 9 Spetember aan die SANIFAA Johannesburg Indoor Archery kompetisie deelgeneem.
Sophia het skitterend geskiet met ‘n ‘telling van 202/300 wat ses punte hoër is as die huidige Suid-Afrikaanse Rekord! Sy het ook vroeër in Bloemfontein, tydens die SANIFAA Nasionale Binneshuise Kampioenskappein Bloemfontein, goud verwerf in die Junior Female Barebow Compound. Sy het ook by die kompetisie die huidige Suid-Afrikaanse Rekord Boogskiet in haar kategorie behaal.
Nog ‘n prestasie wat Sophia behaal het, was op 5 Augustus toe sy aan die AGA (Afrika Gessisus Archery) Vrystaat Kampioenskappe deelgeneem het. Daar het sy in die Kolle-kompetisie (Bulls Eye) 2de plek (Gr 10) asook 2de plek algeheel behaal. By dieselfde kampioenskap het Sophia, in die 3D-Kompetisie, 1ste (Gr 10) en 2de algeheel geëindig. Sy is ook na afloop van die kompetisie ingesluit in die Vrystaatspan. Die span gaan 4 Oktober aan die Inter-Provinsiale toernooi deelneem.
SANIFAA Johannesburg Indoor Archery. Sophia Pieters, learner of Bethlehem Voortrekker High School, took part in the SANIFAA Johannesburg Indoor Archery competition on Saturday 9 Spetember.
Sophia shot brilliantly with a ‘score of 202/300 which is six points higher than the current South African Record! She also won gold earlier in Bloemfontein, at the SANIFAA National Indoor Championships in Bloemfontein, at the Junior Female Barebow Compound. She also achieved the current South African Record Archery in her category at the competition.
Another achievement Sophia achieved was on 5 August when she competed at the AGA (Afrika Gessisus Archery) Free State Championships. There she took 2nd place (Gr 10) as well as 2nd place overall in the Bulls Eye competition. At the same championship, Sophia, in the 3D Competition, finished 1st (Gr 10) and 2nd overall. She was also included in the Free State team after the competition. The team will participate in the Inter-Provincial tournament on 4 October.
