Hoërskool Fichardtpark het eerste die kolf opgeneem en behaal 235/3 in hulle toegelate 20 boulbeurte. Eben Botha verwerf ‘n ongelooflike 137 lopies van slegs 63 balle. Hy slaan elf viere en tien sesse in sy kolfbeurt! Eben is baie goed bygestaan deur Marco Huygen met sy 55 lopies van slegs 36 balle.
HTS is beperk tot slegs 89 lopies, almal uit. Hulle het slegs 13.5 boulbeurte voor die paaltjies deurgebring.
Fichie boulers wat uitgeblink het, is Ulrich Campher en Jaco Janse van Rensburg. Ulrich het in drie boulbeurte slegs tien lopies afgestaan en vier paaltjies geneem. Jaco het slegs 2.5 boulbeurte benodig om vier paaltjies te neem. Hy het ook slegs twaalf lopies afgestaan.
Schools Cricket. Fichardt Park High School’s U19A cricket team rewrote the record books during their excellent match against HTS Louis Botha.
Fichardt Park High School took up the bat first, scoring an unbelievable 235/3 in their allotted 20 overs. Eben Botha also scored an incredible 137 runs off just 63 balls. Finally, he hit eleven fours and ten sixes in his innings! Eben was also very well assisted by Marco Huygen with his 55 runs off just 36 balls.
Following, HTS was limited to only 89 runs, all out. They spent only 13.5 overs ahead of the wickets.
Fichie bowlers who have excelled are Ulrich Campher and Jaco Janse van Rensburg. Ulrich conceded only ten runs in three overs and took four wickets. Jaco needed only 2.5 overs to take four wickets. He also conceded only twelve runs.
