The Sutherland High School, Centurion, Drama Team is the winners at the Gauteng Regional Amateur Dramatics Series 2021.
Recently the Sutherland Drama Club participated successfully in the Gauteng Regional Amateur Dramatics Series (GRADS). Due to the pandemic this annual festival was transformed into a virtual competition with learners being required to video monologues in the categories of drama or comedy. The competition attracted entries from schools in all four corners of Gauteng with a total of eighty monologues entered.
After a grueling audition process, eighteen outstanding actors entered monologues coupled with seven experienced directors and a crew of 5 technical experts. The diversity of talent shown by the learners proved to be top class with many scripts being written by the learners themselves.
