Pietermaritzburg Girls’ High School learners rallied together this term collecting water and funds to donate to Cape Town in the midst of the drought. The school’s EnviroCare, Muslim Students Association societies were the driving force behind the initiative, partnering with Gift of the Givers.
They received support from both the learners, staff and other societies including the Hindu Students Society. In total, R4 000 was raised and 60 bottles of water.
