Pietermaritzburg Girls’ High School Grade 8 learners were tasked to produce toys made from recyclable materials as part of their technology class.
This project was made so much more meaningful when the learners were told that the charity for Grade 8 in 2018 would be Singakwenza, a charity that deals with Early Childhood Development, and their toys would be donated to them. GHS recently launched its fundraising/charity drive for 2018 and have been having guest speakers address the learners.
This week Julie Hay, director of Singakwenza, addressed the school and the toys were handed over to her.
