Iviwe Booysen, matriculant at Cradock High School, had the privilege of attending the Young Falcons Aviation Winter Camp during the past school holidays. This camp was hosted by the South African Air Force and is aimed at helping students to improve on their overall marks, with special attention being given to mathematics and sciences. The camp took place in Komani, Queenstown, and ran from 1 to 14 July 2018.
As part of the program, learners attended Mathematics, Physical Sciences, Life Orientation, Engineering, English and Pilot’s History classes. They had study sessions as well as physical training and drills. Examinations were also written at the end of the camp and Iviwe was fortunate enough to be one of only six students, out of roughly 140 in attendance, to receive an award at the closing gala ceremony. Iviwe was awarded the trophy for the “Most Participating Young Falcon Male”. The highlight of the camp was certainly the parade in which the learners participated.
CHS is very proud of Iviwe for attending this development program to assist him in his schoolwork, while everyone else enjoyed their holiday. It is great to see his eagerness to learn and grow. We applaud your commitment to your education Iviwe, NIL NISI NITENDO.
