schoolsthatrockEgalite Internasionale Gholftoernooi. Hoër Jongenskool Paarl se gholfspan het aan die jaarlikse Egalite Internasionale Gholftoernooi by Sun City deelgeneem. Op die eerste dag het hulle op die Gary Player-baan ʼn voorsprong van agt houe op hulle naaste teenstanders behaal.
Dag twee speel hulle op die moeilike Lost City-baan en vergroot hulle nogtans hul voorsprong na 10 houe. Hulle kwalifiseer om dag drie op die Gary Player-baan te speel. Hulle presteer deur St Stithians met 20 houe en Paul Roos Gimnasium in die derde plek met ʼn allemintige 41 houe te klop!
HJS wen die gesogte toernooi en Dylan Kayne van HJS stap met die trofee vir die beste individuele speler weg met ʼn telling van ses onder baansyfer oor die drie dae.
Egalite International Golf Tournament. Paarl Boys’ High School’s golf team participated in the annual Egalite International Golf Tournament at Sun City. On the first day, on the Gary Player circuit, they took an eight-stroke lead over their closest opponents.
Day two they play on the difficult Lost City circuit and yet increase their lead to 10 strokes. They qualify to play day three on the Gary Player circuit. They excelled by beating St Stithians by 20 strokes and Paul Roos Gymnasium in third place by a whopping 41 strokes!
HJS won the prestigious tournament and HJS’s Dylan Kayne walked away with the trophy for best individual player with a score of six under par over the three days.
