Aangeheg is ‘n foto van die eerste dag van die eerste kwartaal 2020. Vandag sou die eerste dag van die tweede kwartaal wees, maar Covid-19 het HMS Paarl en die wêreld se kalender behoorlik omvergegooi. Ek het gisteraand na President Ramaphosa geluister en onomwonde ‘n besluit geneem om vir die volgende 17 dae nog meer verantwoordelik op te tree in die belang van elke burger en ons mooi land, Suid-Afrika.
I would, once again, like to assure you that the School Management Team and your teachers will support you during this difficult time. As you already know, we will also be in contact during the next 17 days and keep you informed and answer any questions that you may have. If the lockdown is extended, we shall deal with it day by day.
I read the following that really resonates in the troubled times we are experiencing. A notice outside the famous independent movie theatre next to the Mount Nelson Hotel in Cape Town reads: “THE LABIA HAS CLOSED: Until real life stops feeling like a movie”
Aan die matrieks van HMS – ons glo in julle en ons weet dat julle hierdie tyd slim sal gebruik. Dit is ook belangrik dat julle in julleself sal glo sodat julle nog sterker aan die anderkant sal uitkom.

My enigste wens nou is dat julle gesond moet bly, veilig sal wees en e-leer sal toepas totdat ons weer voor ons pragtige skool bymekaar sal kom om die lewe te vier.
