Miané is in die Suid-Afrikaanse krieket groep ingesluit vir aanstaande maand se T20 o.19-Wêreldbeker vir vroue hier in Suid-Afrika. Die wedstryde vind in Potchefstroom en Benoni plaas.
Miané sal tydens die toernooi slegs 17 jaar oud wees. Sy het ook reeds vanjaar vir die SA o.19-vrouespan asook die Opkomende vrouespan gespeel. Vir laasgenoemde het sy in een wedstryd teen Zimbabwe se senior nasionale span 3/23 platgetrek en 45 lopies van slegs 30 balle gemoker.
World Cup Cricket. Miané Smit, Head Girl of Hoër Meisieskool Oranje in Bloemfontein for 2023, will represent South Africa in a Cricket World Cup in 2023. She is also the only player from the Free State in the team.
Miané has been included in the South African cricket squad for next month’s Women’s T20 Under-19 World Cup here in South Africa. The games take place in Potchefstroom and Benoni. Miané will be only 17 years old during the tournament. She has also played for the SA U/19 women’s team as well as the Emerging women’s team this year. For the latter, she also scored 3/23 in one match against Zimbabwe’s senior national team and smacked 45 runs off just 30 balls.
