schoolsthatrockSA Hokkie. Germarie Spershott is ‘n Graad 11 leerder van Hoër Meisieskool Oranje in Bloemfontein. Sy gaan binnekort ‘n derde SA Hokkie span binne die bestek van 5 maande verteenwoordig.
Germarie is vir die SA Hokkie 5’s (hokkie se korter formaat) gekies wat vanaf 10 tot 15 Desember in Egipte gaan meeding. Dit is ‘n kwalifiserende toernooi vir 2024 se Wêreldbekertoernooi. Germarie het ook in Julie en Augustus onderskeidelik vir die SA o.18A’s en SA o.21’s hokkie gespeel.
Haar insluiting span die kroon op ‘n uitstekende sportjaar. Germarie het drie medaljes op dieselfde dag by die SA Hoërskole-atletiekkampioenskappe in Maart verower in hekkies en aflosse. Twee weke later het sy nóg ‘n medalje, in spiesgooi, op die ASA sub-jeug, jeug en junior kampioenskappe ontvang.
Oranje-leerders is in totaal vanjaar vir negentien verskillende sportsoorte se nasionale spanne gekies!
SA Hockey. Germarie Spershott is a Grade 11 learner from Hoër Meisieskool Oranje in Bloemfontein. She will soon be representing a third SA hockey team in the space of 5 months.
Germarie was also selected for the SA Hockey 5s (hockey’s shorter format) that will compete in Egypt from 10 to 15 December. It is a qualifying tournament for the 2024 World Cup. Germarie also played hockey for the SA U/18As and SA U/21s respectively in July and August.
Her inclusion crowns an excellent sporting year. Germarie won three medals on the same day at the SA High Schools Athletics Championships in March in hurdles and relays. Two weeks later, she received another medal, in javelin throw, at the ASA sub-youth, youth and junior championships.
Orange learners were selected for the national teams of nineteen different sports in total this year!
