Union High School’s new Art Club held its inaugural meeting this past Wednesday afternoon, 10 March.
Fifteen young art enthusiast spent a lovely afternoon creating continuous line portraits of one another, guided by Union educator Mrs Bronwen Langmead.
The primary goal of the Art Club, which is open to all Grade 8 to 12 learners, is to give those learners who show interest in the visual arts the opportunity for more exposure to learning art techniques in drawing, painting and much more.
The Art Club meets every Wednesday afternoon, from 14:15 to 15:30. Materials are provided.
Any learners who would like the opportunity to exchange creative ideas, create works of art, learn new techniques and meet friends with similar interest may speak to Mrs Langmead about attending.
