Hoërskool Uitsig is situated in The Reeds, Centurion. The school was opened in 1991. Dr PH Bredenkamp, Director of Education, conducted the official inauguration. The school building is functional modern to provide in new teaching needs. The number of learners increased from 164 in 1991 to 1140 in 2019. The school celebrated its 21st year in existence in 2012.
The school boasts with neat classrooms fitted with data projectors. As individual attention in small groups is very important to the school, several rooms are divided into smaller units. The Natural, Physical and Life Sciences laboratories are modern and equipped with all the tools required to acquaint learners with what will be expected of them if they continue with the aforementioned subjects at university level
The school further has four (4) IT centres the subjects Information Technology and Computer Application Technology is taught. These facilities prepare learners for the business environment by exposing them to programming and the use of software programmes such as MS Office.
Hoërskool Uitsig also has a media centre where each learner has access to the centre. The school also has a hospitality centre.
We currently have 63 teaching personnel, 12 general workers and 13 administrative personnel on staff. The management team consist of the Principal, two Deputy Principals, nine Heads of Departments, one Head of Discipline and one Head of Culture. Each grade has a Grade Head responsible for each learner’s well being as well as a register/guardian teacher who gets to know the learner on a more personal level.  Through this system we strive to get to know each learner and to look after their interests the best we possibly can.
At Hoërskool Uitsig, each learner is treated as an individual in their own right and not just as a number that disappears in the crowd. As class sizes are small, educators are able to have personal contact with each learner and to get to know them personally and are thereby able to promote each learner’s interests.
