schoolsthatrockTop Junior Angler – Paul Roos Gymnasium in Stellenbosch, learner Beor van Reenen (Gr. 10), represented Free State at the SA Surf Casting Championships. It was held in Langebaan from 26-29 January 2022. Free State ended the tournament in 4th place. It was just one point behind KZN. Beor achieved the Top Junior Angler of the Championships. He also managed a new SA Surf Casting Record for a Bluntnose Guitarfish of 71cm caught during the tournament.
Beor van Reenen (gr. 10), Top Junior Hengelaar van Paul Roos Gimnasium, het die Vrystaat verteenwoordig by die SA ‘Surf Casting’ Kampioenskappe. Dit het plaasgevind van 26 tot 29 Januarie 2022 te Langebaan. Vrystaat het die toernooi in die vierde plek afgesluit. Hulle was net een punt agter KZN. Beor is as Top Junior Hengelaar van die Kampioenskappe aangewys. Hy het ook ‘n nuwe “SA Surf Casting record” opgestel vir ‘n Stompneus vis van 71cm wat hy tydens die toernooi gevang het.
