Saints U15A fast bowler, Sam Ndlovu, has enjoyed a bright start to his high school cricket career. As a new ball bowler, he has bowled fast and accurately and his left arm action often has batsmen in strife.
He took four ‘four wicket hauls’ in his U14 season, but on Saturday 3 February at the Durban Collegians Oval, he took a career best, 6 wickets for 15 runs! It is also a record for our U15 age group, breaking previous record holder, Cameron Brown’s 6/50 including a hatrick against Kingswood in 2013.
The Saints cricketers gathered at the Indoor Cricket Centre this week to acknowledge the change to the record boards! Adding to the occasion was the previous record holder being present to shake hands and personally congratulate Sam; as Cameron said, “Records are meant to be broken and it is exciting to see the next wave of Saints cricket talent coming through”.
