My name is Amy Whyte and I am in Selborne Grade 12. I started at St Andrew’s in Grade 8. My fondest memory at St Andrew’s was the Cape Town Netball Tour in 2017. We had the privilege of being coached by Rochelle Loubser, and we were introduced to the Southern Stings Netball Team. I will never forget the laughs had and the friendships formed on this tour. St Andrew’s has taught me to be open to new opportunities and to learn through these experiences. With St Andrew’s, I completed a two-day hike, carrying clothes, food and cooking appliances while on a grade 10 camp. In Grade 11, I had the privilege of going on the Euro Tour which taught me independence and how to manage a budget. My advice to the younger girls would be: when an opportunity comes your way, do not be afraid to grab it with both hands. Through these opportunities, you will discover your full potential and possibly new passions. I plan on studying a Bachelor of Commerce Accounting Science to pursue a career as a chartered accountant.
