Schools That Rock asked a few questions to Tebogo Maseko, Head Boy of Krugersdorp High School.
Question: What do you look forward to most when the 2021 school year starts? Looking forward to seeing everyone, students, staff, ground-staff and our DSSS work together as a team. We all have one goal and that is to make Krugersdorp High thé best school in the West Rand.
Question: Are there any changes or adjustments you would like to see happen at your school? Indeed, the approach or attitude towards challenges have fewer people with a scarcity consciousness. In other words, have fewer people blame circumstances, believing that some things are meant for specific people and just common things like “I can’t do it”. Instead, it would be great to have more people with prosperity consciousness, where we have students who do not settle for less, students who see an opportunity rather than a problem and everyone to be believe that they have #limitlessopportunites.
Question: If you had to make a statement to convince someone that your school is the right choice, what would that statement be? Krugersdorp High is a school of excellence, through their sports, academics and cultural activities. Krugersdorp High aims to make every student a golden student, thats also if you are also willing to be a golden student. Your time at the school will most definitely be the best times of your life. Wisdom does conquer all.
Question: Who would you consider to be your role model at your school? Mr Dlamini, simply because despite the situation or circumstance, this man will get it done. Regardless what it is, and he is the type to not only help you reach your goal but also exceed it to even greater heights.
Question: Which sport activity offered at your school is your favourite? Athletics and Hockey.
Question: What is your favourite meal? Pasta and mince
Question: Which career choices are you considering after school? Zoology & Geology.
Question: Which university do you want to attend next year? University of Johannesburg.
Question: Do you have a message for your fellow pupils for 2021? Yes, my message is that, regardless of all the setbacks we have faced, we are facing and ones we will face, don’t you give up on your dreams. You might think it’s over but believe me not, its only the beginning. The Best Is Yet To Come.
