Schools That Rock chat to Moloko Mokgawa

Schools That Rock asked Moloko Mokgawa, Headgirl of HTS Tom Naudé a few questions.

Question: What do you look forward to most when the 2021 school year starts? I can’t wait to meet the grade 8 learner’s and teach them the ways of our school.

Question: Are there any changes or adjustments you would like to see happen at your school?  Yes, I would like for the soccer at our school to start again. I think it’s a great alternative for the children who are not interested in playing soccer. It will keep more children involved with the school.

Question: If you had to make a statement to convince someone that your school is the right choice, what would that statement be?  I would tell then that our academic is spot on, our sport is phenomenal and we have the best coaches to help us reach our full potential. We have friendly teachers who care about our well-being and help us when there is a bump in the road.

Question: Who would you consider to be your role model at your school?  I would say my role model would be my principal, Mrs. Kachelhoffer, because she is full of positivity and always has the school’s best interest at heart.

Question: Which sport activity offered at your school is your favourite? I enjoy athletics the most. The cheering and the adrenaline I get when I am running the relay it participating in my field items is amazing.

Question: What is your favourite meal?
My favorite dish is Spaghetti Bolognese.

Question: Which career choices are you considering after school? I am still deciding between electrical engineering and computer engineering. I’m hoping to come to a decision before the year ends.

Question: Which university do you want to attend next year? I would love to go to the University of Pretoria.

Question: Do you have a message for your fellow pupils for 2021?  I advice to my fellow learner’s to just be patient and have faith. It is tricky with the virus in the air but we can make things work as long as we put in the work and stay positive.
