Schools That Rock had a few questions for Hannah Lombard, Deputy Head Girl Academics of Middelburg Hoërskool, Mpumalanga.
Question: What do you look forward to most when the 2021 school year starts? Seeing how we as a leader group can make a difference in the year for the rest of the school. To make lasting memories despite the circumstances we find outselves in.
Question: Are there any changes or adjustments you would like to see happen at your school? I would definitely make it possible for girls to play netball as well as hockey, and not have to choose between the two.
Question: If you had to make a statement to convince someone that Middies is the right choice, what would that statement be? At Middies you will be encouraged to be who you are. You don’t need to fit into any box. There is always a place for you at Middies.
Question: Who would you consider to be your role model at your school? My mom, Mrs Lombard in the Marketing office.
Question: Which sport activity offered at your school is your favourite? Netball! Netball! Netball!
Question: What is your favourite meal? Dessert but more specifically ice-cream!
Question: Which career choices are you considering after school? I would love to study Forensic Medicine (Criminalistics). I have a passion for science and law enforcement.
Question: Which university do you want to attend next year? I would so happy at the University of Pretoria.
Question: Do you have a message for your fellow pupils for 2021? No matter what happens, you’ve got this. Have faith and God will get you through anything. Our hope is in Him!
