It is a priviledge for Schools That Rock to introduce Emré Bobbs, captain of Edgemead’s 1st boys hockey team, to the visitors to our website.
“I started playing hockey when was 12 .
I currently play center link and I have played throughout the midfield and the forward positions .
As a team we have fitness sessions throughout trainings which mainly focuses on cardio. At home I do a lot of plyometric excercises as well as a variety of body weight and weight training.
I also play soccer and do athletics as my other sports.
I prefer team sports as it develops a better relationship between people and the idea of everyone working together to achieve one goal is motivating and inspiring .
I think my duty as being a vice captain is to motivate my team mates and help them learn new things that they can use in their game of hockey.
I would like to continue playing hockey after school and aim to play at a higher level, while completing my studies.”
