“I started playing hockey when was 7 years old.
I currently play defender, but I have played in every position throughout my 11 years of playing hockey. This is my first year being captain.
As a team we do a lot of conditioning for match fitness. At home I do lots of running and basic core workouts.
Hockey is the only sport I play. I prefer team sports, as it brings the feeling of brotherhood.
My duty as captain is not only to motivate the team, but also to be the level head that the team looks to in tough situations. It’s also my duty to keep the morale high, vibes up and to help everyone where help is needed.
I plan to continue playing hockey after school and participate in the highest level of hockey that I can, whilst doing my studies.”
