Kearsney easily overpowered Glenwood, in a Schools Basket Ball game where they dominated from the jump ball. The visitors struggled to score, and Kearsney took advantage of the lack of defense, scoring a consistent 20 points in the first two quarters, whilst holding the visitors to single points each quarter, to take the scoreboard to 40-13.
When the teams returned to the court after half-time, Kearsney carried on from where they had left off, scoring 30 points in the third quarter. It appeared that Glenwood had all but given up, even though they managed to more than double their half-time score.
The clock was run in the fourth quarter to end the game quicker, which helped reduce the final score to 87-30.
For the first time in a while, Kearsney also managed to beat their Old Boys’ team 44-37 over the weekend.
