School Boy Cricket. Yesterday, 14 October, the cricket pitch came alive as St Andrew’s School Bloemfontein u11A team from St Andrew’s School Bloemfontein faced off against Fichardtpark Primary School in a thrilling encounter. Saints won the toss and chose to bat first—and what a decision that turned out to be!
Batting Brilliance. Saints posted a mammoth total of 354/9 in 30 overs, showcasing a masterclass in junior cricket batting:
- Masegoame Ramantsi led the charge with a stunning 85 runs
- Scott de Jager added a solid 54 runs
- Eli Miles chipped in with a confident 46 runs
- Xavier Nunes remained unbeaten on 45, anchoring the innings with poise
Bowling Highlights. Fichardtpark fought back with determination, and their bowlers had moments of brilliance:
- Josua Els impressed with 3 wickets for 15 runs
- Gray Potgieter delivered a tight spell, taking 2/7
- Caleb Barnard kept the pressure on with 2/10
🏆 Result. Saints claimed a commanding victory by 306 runs, a testament to their teamwork, preparation, and passion for the game.
