SA Schools Rugby. For the first time in the history of Hilton College, KZN, they have four boys receiving national honours for rugby. Tom Dyer, Jack Waterhouse and Ethan Bester have made the SA Schools Rugby team, and Nic Snyman is in the SA Schools Rugby ‘A’ team.
All four boys have inspiring stories to tell.
When Tom arrived here in Form 1, he was known by Hiltonians as the son of a legend (Dad Rory was 1987 Headboy and Captain of the 1stXV) but Tom has carved out his own reputation as leader of the Spirituality Portfolio and a courageous captain.
Jack, son of Old Hiltonian Grant (1981), was a B team backline player through the age groups but an inspired move to lock last year made him a very impactful 1st XV player this year.
Ethan and Nic made the brave journey to Hilton from across the country as juniors and have grown over the years into great players.
Well done boys and thank you to their families, teachers and coaches that have mentored them along the way!
