SA Cycling XCO Cup. Michael Kanis is ‘n laerskool leerder van Curro Krugersdorp. Hy het onlangs tydens die SA Cycling XCO Cup #4 by Thaba Trails ‘n derde plek losgeslaan in the Sproggs kategorie.

Wat die uitslag merkwaardig maak is dat hy laat by die wegspring punt aangekom het. Daarom moes hy heel agter begin. Micheal het sommer binne die eerste rondte meer as 30 fietsryers verby gesteek. Aan die begin van die tweede rondte was hy reeds naby die voorste groep.

Met baie vasbyt het hy na ‘n derde plek opgeskuif en derde geeindig na die 4de rondte. Hy het nou op SA vlak medaljes vewerf in Enduro en XCO in die afgelope maand.

Primary school learner Michael Kanis recently achieved 3rd place in the Sproggs category during the SA Cycling XCO Cup # 4 at Thaba Trails. What makes the result remarkable is that he arrived late at the starting point and had to start at the very back.

Micheal passed more than 30 cyclists in the first lap and was close to the front group at the beginning of the second lap. With a lot of perseverance, he moved up to the third place and finished third after the fourth round.

He has now won medals at SA level in Enduro and XCO in the past month.
