The learners who participated in the public speaking competition are Willem Visagie, Pellatt Smith, Frans Hoffmann and Jack Vlismas.
Frans Hoffmann came third nationally in the Golden Tongue section. Pellatt Smith came first in the Afrikaans, prepared entertainment section.
