schoolsthatrockProvinsiale Krieketspanne. `n Groot totaal van veertien krieketspelers van Hoërskool Witteberg in Bethlehem, is in verskeie provinsiale krieketspanne ingesluit.
Agt seuns en ses dogters is ook na die eerste rondte proewe in die Thabo Mofutsanyana spanne ingesluit. Die afgelope naweek (23-25 September) het die agt seuns aan die Platteland proewe in Sasolburg deelgeneem. Vyf uit die agt spelers het deurgedring na die Vrystaatproewe.
Hoërskool Witteberg sal deur die ses dogters en die vyf seuns gedurende die Oktober-vakansie by die Vrystaatproewe verteenwoordig word. Die proewe vind in Bloemfontein plaas. Witteberg se eie Mnr. Leonard Jacobs is ook aangewys as die afrigter van die o.16 Vrystaat Plattelandspan.
Die volgende leerders is in die TBM spanne ingesluit:
- o.19 Seuns: Dries Stemmett, Stephan Geldenhuis, Ruan Barnard en Mike Smit.
- o.16 Seuns: Lesego Mosikidi, Johan Vorster, Dumisani Johnson en MC Smith.
- O.19 Dogters: Leozé Lottering, Amy Kotzé, Evané du Toit, Ziané Lottering, Petra Steinmann en Zané Wessels.
Die seuns wat ingesluit is in die Vrystaat platteland span en wat deurdring na die Vrystaat proewe:
- o.19: Dries Stemmett en Stephan Geldenhuis.
- o.16: Johan Vorster, Lesego Mosikidi en Dumisani Johnson
Provincial cricket teams
A total of fourteen cricketers from Witteberg High School in Bethlehem were included in various provincial cricket teams.
Eight boys and six girls were also included in the Thabo Mofutsanyana teams after the first round of trials. During the weekend of 23 to 25 September, the eight boys took part in the Countryside Trials in Sasolburg . Furthermore five out of the eight players made it through to the Free State trials.
Witteberg High School will also be represented by the six girls and the five boys . During the October holidays the Free State Trials will take place in Bloemfontein. Witteberg’s own Mr Leonard Jacobs was also appointed as the coach of the U16 Free State Countryside team.
The following learners were included in the TBM teams:
