Paul Roos Jaarlike Bekoor. Vyf skole het 3 Mei by Paul Roos se Jaarlike Bekoor opgetree. Hoër Meisieskool Bloemhof, Rhenish Girls’ High, Paul Roos Gimnasium, Hoërskool Stellenbosch en Bridge House School het by hierdie 10de Paul Roos se jaarlikse BeKoor-konsert deelgeneem.

Die konsert het ook ‘n optrede deur die talentvolle Paul Roos Senior orkes ingesluit. Die eerste BeKoor is in 2011 aangebied en was ten doel om die talent van Stellenbosse kore in een konsert ten toon te stel. Sedertien het belangstelling in dié gewilde konsep ver wyer as die grense van Stellenbosch gestrek. BeKoor is nou bekend as ‘n geleentheid waar koormusiek gevier word. Die konsert het ook daarin geslaag om skole en families saam te trek.

Skoolkore gebruik ook dié platvorm om voor te berei vir die hoogs-kompeterende ATKV-koorkompetisie wat later vanjaar plaasvind. Die konsert was moontlik gemaak deur Paul Roos se kultuurborge.

Paul Roos yearly charmed

Five schools performed May 3 at Paul Roos’ “Jaarlikse BeKoor.” Hoër Meisieskool Bloemhof, Rhenish Girls’ High, Paul Roos Gymnasium, Stellenbosch High School and Bridge House School took part in this 10th Paul Roos’ annual BeKoor concert.

The concert also included a performance by the talented Paul Roos Senior Orchestra. The first BeKoor was presented in 2011 and aimed to showcase the talent of Stellenbosch choirs in one concert. Since then, interest in this popular concept has also extended far beyond the boundaries of Stellenbosch. BeKoor is now known as an event where choral music is celebrated. The concert also succeeded in pulling schools and families together.

School choirs are also using this platform to prepare for the highly competitive ATKV choir competition that will take place later this year. The concert was made possible by Paul Roos’ cultural sponsors.
