NCASA Sprints Gala. Northern Cape High School from Kimberley swimmers have done it again at the NCASA Sprints Gala! Collectively they brought home thirteen medals after competing in the Northern Cape Aquatics Association Sprints Gala at the Karen Muir Swimming Pool in Kimberley from 5 to 6 February.
They competed against teams from Kimberley, Jacobsdal, Prieska, Kathu, Hartswater, Hopetown, Bloemfontein and Upington.
Chloe Ehlers (17) won 5 (five) gold medals: 100m backstroke; 50m backstroke; 50m butterfly; 100m freestyle; 50m freestyle.
Alisha Stanfley (16) won 2 (two) silver medals and 1 (one) bronze medal: 50m backstroke – silver; 400m freestyle – silver; 100m freestyle – bronze.
Vasco Theron (15) won 2 (two) gold medals, 2 (two) silver medals and 1 (one) bronze medal: 200m butterfly – gold; 200m IM – bronze; 400m freestyle – silver;200m breaststroke – gold; 200m freestyle – silver
Their swimmers are currently training to compete against the best of the best in Durban during the Grand Prix Gala from 18 – 20 February 2022.
