Kwagga Rugbyweek 2023. Die Kwagga Rugbyweek vir o.14 en o.15 rugbyspanne word sedert 1995 aangebied deur Hoërskool Outeniqua. As gevolg van Covid kon die week nie plaasvind in 2020 en 2021 nie. Alles lyk egter baie positief om die 27ste rugbyfees in 2023 aan te bied.
52 Spanne van 29 skole het ingeskryf vir die Kwagga Rugbyfees. Hoërskool Outeniqua is veral opgewonde oor die o/14 spanne. Van die top rugbyskole se o/14 spanne gaan deelneem. Daar gaan dus duisend seuns, plus afrigters en ouers by die Kwaggas kuier vir die Kwagga Rugbyweek! Terselfdertyd is daar ook ‘n Kwagga Junior Hokkieweek vir o/14 seuns en dogters. Dit is nog 300 deelnemers. Dit is verseker ook ‘n groot inspuiting vir die dorp se ekonomie.
Die fees skop af met ‘n groot openingseremonie op Vrydag, 31 Maart, waartydens spanne bekendgestel sal word. Almal is welkom om dit by te woon. Wedstryde sal plaasvind op Saterdag 1 April, Maandag 2 April en Woensdag 5 April op die velde van Hoërskool Outeniqua. Toeskouers is welkom en kaartjies kos R50 per volwassene vir al drie die wedstryddae. Skoolgaande kinders is gratis.
Hoërskool Outeniqua nooi die publiek en gemeenskap hartlik uit om die fees saam met hulle te geniet.
Kwagga Rugby Week 2023
The Kwagga Rugby Week for under-14 and under-15 rugby teams has been hosted by Outeniqua High School since 1995. Due to Covid, the week could not take place in 2020 and 2021. However, everything looks very positive to host the 27th rugby festival in 2023.
52 Teams from 29 schools entered the Kwagga Rugby Festival. Outeniqua High School is especially excited about the U/14 teams. Some of the top rugby schools’ U/14 teams will participate. So there will be a thousand boys, plus coaches and parents visiting the Kwaggas for the Kwagga Rugby Week! At the same time, there is also a Kwagga Junior Hockey Week for you/14 boys and girls. That’s another 300 participants. It is certainly also a major injection for the town’s economy.
The festival kicks off with a grand opening ceremony on Friday, March 31, during which teams will be introduced. All are welcome to attend. Matches will take place on Saturday, April 1, Monday, April 2 and Wednesday, April 5 on the fields of Outeniqua High School. Spectators are welcome and tickets cost R50 per adult for all three match days. School-age children are free.
