Interschools. After two years of Covid restrictions, the young sportsmen from Paul Roos Gymnasium and Grey College Secondary (Bloemfontein) are very excited to compete at the Interschools against each other. Above all, this will be the first Interschools since 2019.
This high-profile sports event in the Paul Roos calendar will kick off with the Nashua Intershools Dinner. It is hosted by the Paul Roos Old Boys Committee. It will also be supported by Abacus, Aramex, Health Squared, Eye & Laser Clinic and the Remey Group. This occasion honours the various sports disciplines where stories about the rich history between the two schools are shared by a PRG and Grey Old Boys rugby panel.
MC, TV personality and musician, Pietman Geldenhuys, will undoubtedly ensure guests are entertained. Top SA rugby players Juandré Kruger (PRG), Schalk Brits (PRG), Heinrich Brüssow and Richardt Strauss from Grey College will also serve on the rugby panel.
With 550 tickets already sold, there are only 110 tickets available to the public. Proceedings commence at 18h00. Tickets cost R8500 and make provision for ten guests. The ticket price includes a wine tasting on arrival. Also included are four complimentary bottles of wine per table, as well as a delicious dinner for ten people. Catering is done by Red Pepper Deli.
Reservations can be done by contacting Elza van der Walt at oldboys@paulroos.co.za. Hockey matches will also highlight the jam-packed sports programme. The hockey matches will take place at the Maties Astro. So too, Saturday 20 August, when rugby lovers pull together in their masses at the Markötter Sports Complex to experience the momentous rugby interschools.
