Soos ‘n oogwink is nog ‘n groep matriek se skooljare verby!  Kan dit dieselfde klein gr 1’tjie wees wat vandag, 12 jaar later,  as ‘n pragtige jong man/dame by die hek van die skool uitstap!  Net ‘n eksamen wat tussen skoolkind en die grootmens-wêreld lê!

Hoërskool Punt het weer, soos in die verlede, op ‘n baie mooi manier van hul pragtige groep jongmense afskeid geneem.  Die verrigtinge het begin met ‘n pragtige saalbyeenkoms, waar die ouers ook teenwoordig was, en daarna ‘n heerlike tee met die ouers, leerders en personeel.  Alles was laastes vir hierdie groep leerders.

Dan het die groot oomblik, en jarelange tradisie, aangebreek!!!!  Die uitgelate groep gr. 12’s het gestroom na die Poort by die Punt waar hulle, met skoolklere en al, in die Sloep ingespring het. Sommige kon nie wag om te spring nie terwyl ander maar huiwerig was, maar darem met die aanmoediging van hul vriende, gespring het. Die mammas en pappas het oral ‘n gaatjie gesoek om hierdie “springery” dop te hou!

Dit was ‘n pragtige, sonskyn dag en die jongmense het die water geniet,  alhoewel die water nog steeds maar bitterlik koud was.

Ons groet ons matrieks en wens hulle sterkte toe met die GROOT EKSAMEN wat voorlê.  Hoërskool Punt wens julle ‘n baie mooi toekoms toe en mag jul elke dag VAN HOOG NA HOËR, soos ons leuse sê, leef!
