
Grey College Cricket Festival. The 1st cricket team of Jeppe High School had another good win at the Grey College Festival in Bloemfontein on Saturday.
They beat Selborne College by 225 runs in a 50-over game. They got to a very impressive 297/7 in their 50 overs thanks to big knocks by Munib Ayob, who made 82 off 106 balls. Included are six fours and two sixes. The captain, Ryan Young, smashed 65 off just 52 balls with eight fours and three sixes.
Munib then did most damage with the ball when Selborne batted. He took 3/7 in four overs to get things going, with Shreshth Kumar (3/12) and Zizi Mkhize (3/14) finishing the job. Munib Ayob was named Man of the Match.
Jeppe end off their tour with a T20 game against Grey High School on Sunday before heading home in time for the beginning of the school year next Tuesday.
