St Andrew’s encourage their girls, as well as the staff, to set goals and dream big. Also to live with purpose and pursue their passion; and to stay true to the school’s values which are aligned with their ‘Skilled for Life’ philosophy.
St Andrew’s School for Girls’ Head of Marketing, Admissions and Heritage, Caterina Cannone, recently fulfilled a lifelong dream. A dream of mountain-gorilla trekking in the Volcano National Parks in Rwanda. The exhilarating hike to track the magnificent primates on Mount Karisimbi, followed by the incredible encounters with the Igisha gorilla family, were nothing short of surreal.
Caterina Cannone’s love and passion for all living creatures was a driving force to visit the place which was so beloved by one of her heroines, Dr Dian Fossey; but the experiences and lessons learnt about Rwanda and their forgiving, gracious, and community-driven people have also left a lasting impression.
St Andrew’s is always so thrilled to share stories of the staff who follow their dreams, and inspire our girls to do the same! Thank you, Caterina, for sharing yours!
