Podium Athletics Paarl – The Athletics Meeting of the South is here

Podium Athletics Paarl. Several provinces, one epic showdown! The Curro Podium Athletics Meeting of the South is here, with more competition and adrenaline-pumping moments. Clear your calendars for Friday, 27 October 2023, as Dal Josaphat Stadium in Paarl, Western Cape, transforms into a battleground where high school athletic champions will compete for glory.

The driving force behind this event is Curro Holdings, the independent school group. They are no stranger to sporting excellence. Following the success of the inaugural Podium meeting earlier this year and a spectacular follow-up event in the North last month, Curro is soaring to new heights. Curro is expanding the series to showcase sporting talents from the country’s Southern regions. The grand national finale is scheduled for February 2024. This is the last chance for future athletics stars to ignite the tracks with speed and prowess.

Sporting champions

“The Curro Podium Athletics Meeting in the South is also a celebration of passion, talent, and the spirit of competition. We are delighted to give young athletes from all over the southern provinces the chance to shine,” says Cindy van der Merwe, Portfolio Manager at Curro Sport.

Approved by Athletics SA (ASA), the Curro Podium Athletics series is also designed to light the fire for success amongst sporting champions. The upcoming South event will be hosted by Curro Durbanville under the auspices of Boland Athletics.

Prepare for a heart-pounding event as top sporting schools compete for individual and team titles across various categories. Some of the top schools that will be participating include Fairmont High School, Stellenberg Hoërskool, Paarl Gimnasium. Paarl Boys High, Paarl Girls, Paul Roos Gymnasium and HMS La Rochelle.
