Tydens hierdie kompetisie het hy ‘n derde plek in Kumite verower. MJ verdien ook sy SA erekleure in Karate.
SA JKA is die grootste groep JKA-karatepraktisyns ter wêreld buite Japan. Hul grade word internasionaal en in Japan erken. Hul senseis oefen so gereeld as moontlik by die berugte Honbu in Tokio om te verseker dat standaarde op die hoogste vlak bly.
SA African Cup. MJ van der Walt, learner of Fichardt Park High School in Bloemfontein, took part in the 0/14 SA African Cup in Johannesburg on 28 July.
In this competition, he won third place in Kumite. MJ also earns its SA honours in Karate.
SA JKA is the largest group of JKA karate practitioners in the world outside Japan. Their degrees are recognized internationally and in Japan. Their senseis train as often as possible at the infamous Honbu in Tokyo to ensure standards remain at the highest level.
