schoolsthatrockEskom Science Expo. Thursday, 5 August marked the first day of the Eskom Regional Science Expo. The Expo was hosted at Paul Roos Gymnasium. It was the first time since the pandemic that this event was hosted live. Twenty eight schools participated in 192 science projects. Paul Roos Gymnasium had 17 participating learners and submitted 15 projects in total.
PRG’s young scientists achieved great accomplishments. They won 5 Gold, 7 Silver and 2 Bronze medals, which was announced on Friday, 5 August. Four Paul Roos learners were category winners. They are:
- Marne Potgieter – Best junior in category Chemistry and Biochemistry
- Altus Scholtz – Best junior in category Earth Sciences
- Ian Smith – Best junior in category Energy
- Enzo Blignaut – Best junior in category Environmental Sciences
