In matric I won the ‘J.J. Engelbrecht prys vir die suiwerste gebruik van Afrikaans’!
In my third year at university I was chairperson of the Afrikaans Literature Society!
I was a runner-up in the Rotary Citizen of the Year award for the work the Interact Club at PHS school did.
Hobbies: Spending time with my precious family and friends, being mother to a 1-year-old Jack Russell, reading, watching movies, listening to music, going to the theatre, gaining knowledge via reading and the internet.
Something you may not know about me: My niece in Canada owns one of the biggest tattoo parlours in the world! (No, I don’t have one – yet.)
My message to Point: I believe in Point – its staff, its learners, its parents. I’ve seen its ups and downs. Point always weathers the storms. I believe that we have come to appreciate each other more during this difficult time and that we will be an even stronger family once school re-opens. May God protect and bless you.
