Debating. Congratulations to the Grey College senior debating team for clinching the 2025 Provincial Debating Championship held in Virginia last weekend. Their victory is a testament to the power of preparation, teamwork, and persuasive argumentation.
🏆 Individual Honours:
- Best Senior Speaker & 1st place overall: Thomas Schoeman – A master of rhetoric and reason.
- 2nd place overall: Bandile Makoka (Grade 11) – A rising star with sharp insight and poise.
- 5th place overall: Sechaba Moeti (Grade 12) – A voice of clarity and conviction.
🌟 A special shout-out to Bandile Makoka, who has been selected to represent the Free State Senior Debating Team. His inclusion reflects not only his skill but also his potential to shine on a broader stage.
Grey College salutes these learners for their outstanding achievements and thanks their coaches and mentors for nurturing such excellence. The boys continue to lead with distinction in both academics and oratory.

’n Oorwinning van denke en welsprekendheid! Baie geluk aan die Grey Kollege senior debatspan wat die 2025 Provinsiale Debat-kampioenskap die naweek van 30 Augustus in Virginia gewen het. Hierdie prestasie getuig van harde werk, spanpoging en die kuns van oortuiging.
