72 Excited members of the Bloemfontein Children’s Choir met on Saturday for the first time since auditions for the choir was held in October 2020. The choir welcomed 42 new members with a morning filled with fun, singing and dancing.
“We are so excited to meet each other and for me it was super special to be able to meet the children in person and to hear them sing. The interaction was amazing and we cannot wait to practice together in early 2021.” said Werner Stander, Director of Music. The choir has not been able to meet or practice together since March when restrictions for social gatherings were put in place.
With Covid-19 protocols in place the children also learned about team work and listening to each other while participating in team building exercises presented by Teambo Facilitation.
The choir will in the next few weeks spend time to plan the 2021 season and hopes that events and performances will be possible with all COVID-19 restrictions. Announcements on the performances and community projects will be done in early February 2021. Summer auditions will also be scheduled.
