Jaco is aangewys as die Man van die Wedstryd tydens die internasionale kragmeting tussen die 0/18 SA Skole span en die 0/18 Engeland span. Die SA Skole kaptein, JJ Theron het Jaco met reg beskryf as een van die mees hardwerkende spelers. Dit bewys net dat harde werk verseker beloon word.
Suid-Afrika het die wedstryd met 33 – 21 gewen.

U18 SA Schools Rugby. The Fichies are bursting with pride for Jaco who achieved Gold and Green and Gold. This is for the fantastic performance Jaco Grobbelaar achieved in the under-18 match against England yesterday, August 19.
Jaco was named the Man of the Match during the international showdown between the 0/18 SA Schools team and the 0/18 England team. SA Schools captain JJ Theron rightly described Jaco as one of the most hard-working players. It just proves that hard work is also guaranteed to be rewarded.
South Africa won the match 33 – 21.
