schoolsthatrockWOW Spelfees. Dertig leerders van Hoërskool Ermelo het op Dinsdag, 6 September, deelgeneem aan die WOW Spelfees te HTS.
Die kompetisie het uit twee afdelings bestaan: ‘n babbel- (hardop spel) asook ‘n krabbel-afdeling (skriftelike spelling). Die twee afdelings se punte word dan bymekaar getel om die wenners te bepaal. Vyf Erries eindig provinsiaal onder die top vier en dring gevolglik deur na die nasionale rondte. Dit vind DV op 15 Oktober by die Universiteit van Stellenbosch plaas. Die leerders wat plekke behaal het, is as volg:
Graad 8:
- Chané Oosthuizen (eerste plek)
- Marizel van Niekerk (derde plek)
- Mia van Deventer (vierde plek)
Graad 9:
- Maret Maritz (derde plek)
Graad 10:
- Kayleigh Moore (eerste plek).
Alle sterkte met jul voorbereiding vir die Nasionale finaal.
WOW Spelfees. Thirty learners of Ermelo High School participated in the WOW Spelfees at HTS on Tuesday 6 September.
The competition consisted of two sections: a loud spelling as well as a written spelling section. The two divisions’ points are then added together to determine the winners. Five Erries finished provincially in the top four and subsequently advanced to the National round that will take place DV on 15 October at the University of Stellenbosch. The learners who achieved places are as follows:
Grade 8:
- Chané Oosthuizen (first place)
- Marizel van Niekerk (third place)
- Mia van Deventer (fourth place).
Grade 9:
- Maret Maritz (third place).
Grade 10:
- Kayleigh Moore (first place).
