World Book Day. On Thursday, 3 March, St Charles College, Pietermaritzburg, celebrated the 25th anniversary of World Book Day. The message was to all children: “you are a reader”. Reading is such a fundamental skill in the Junior Primary, so it is little wonder there was such a happy atmosphere in their shady playground.
The morning started with a puppet show by Puppet World. Having not had shows for so long, it was a delight to see the enjoyment on the boys faces. This was followed by hot chocolate with the Senior Primary brothers, as they shared and read their favourite books to each other. The best way to enjoy hot chocolate and a book is in your pajamas, of course! – Mrs Debbie Sorour
