York High School is proud to celebrate the outstanding achievement of Avah Kaplan. Avah, a Grade 11 learner. She and her trusted equine partner, Bam Bam, delivered a stellar performance at the Western Cape District Finals this past weekend.
Avah and Bam Bam competed against some of the region’s top young riders. Together, they showcased exceptional skill as well as discipline across multiple events. Their efforts were rewarded with two first-place finishes and a second-place finish. It secures their place among the elite in the Western Cape equestrian circuit. This remarkable result is a testament not only to Avah’s dedication and talent but also to the countless hours of training and the strong bond she shares with Bam Bam.
The Western Cape District Finals are known for their competitive spirit and high standards. It draws riders from across the province. They can test their mettle in disciplines such as show jumping, dressage, and working riding. Avah’s success at this prestigious event reflects her growing reputation in the sport and hints at a bright future ahead.
