The First Team of Glenwood High School, enjoyed a good win against DHS on Saturday (20 January 2018) with the final score being 15-1. Although DHS scored first with a deflection off a defenders arm, the Glenwood boys made sure this was their last defensive error.
The boys remained disciplined on defence and made sure they double marked the “danger men” on every defence. This saw DHS struggle to find rhythm attack. The fast pace of our counter attack wore down the DHS side in the first half and this saw the score slowly building. A superb defensive effort by D. Kirkbride and fast pace counter attacking by Aaron and Joshua Jacoby ensured a solid victory by the Glenwood side, finished off superbly by a goal from the half way line in the dying seconds of the game by Joshua.
