Earlier this week, Union’s Grade 12s enjoyed an informative, interactive Zoom session with Ms Leandra Lombard.
Ms Lombard is a Director of Clinical Research at the TB Alliance in Johannesburg where she serves as operations manager for global clinical research trials or studies specifically focussed on TB.
Ms Lombard recently contracted COVID-19 and now, fully recovered, spoke of her experiences to the Grade 12 Life Orientation (LO) classes.
The learners made enthusiastic use of the time to ask her questions and, as a health care professional, she answered their concerns both empathetically and scientifically.
