U21 Hockey training squad. Wynberg Girls’ High School Celebrates Rising Hockey Star Jehan Abrahams.
Wynberg Girls’ High School, Cape Town, is beaming with pride as one of its own, Jehan Abrahams, continues to blaze a trail in South African hockey. In a remarkable feat, Jehan has been selected for the South African U21 Hockey training squad. This is an extraordinary achievement, especially considering she is not yet in the U21 age group.
Jehan’s selection is a testament to her exceptional talent, relentless dedication, and unwavering work ethic. Her inclusion in the squad underscores her status as one of the country’s most promising young athletes.
This milestone follows her stellar performance at the recent U18 Inter Provincial Tournament. She represented Western Province with distinction at the tournament. Her commanding presence on the field earned her the prestigious title of Defender of the Tournament. Furthermore, she was subsequently selected for the South African U18A hockey team.
🏑 “Jehan’s achievements are nothing short of phenomenal,” said a spokesperson from Wynberg Girls’ High School. “She embodies the spirit of excellence we strive to nurture in all our students. We are incredibly proud of her and excited to see where her journey takes her next.”
As Jehan steps into this new chapter with the U21 training squad, the entire Wynberg community stands behind her, cheering her on every step of the way. The future looks bright for this rising star — and South African hockey is all the better for it.
