Treverton Equestrian Centre hosted the first leg of the Treverton/Clifton Inter-yard Challenge. It was a wonderful day, with fantastic weather and a festive atmosphere. It was a day that both challenged and rewarded the kid’s, it also proved to be fantastic platform for the riders to apply what they have learnt. They put on an excellent display of the Treverton Equestrian prowess.
They kicked off the day working riding classes, judged by Jacqui Pappas. The two classes were very well supported and were won by Prep riders, Jayden Nowlan (eq 11) winning the Newcomers class and Sarah Bedggood (eq 4) winning the Novice class.Â
They then moved onto the show jumping classes. These classes were judged by Leandi Steyn and Peter Thomas who built very interesting and challenging tracks. All the riders did very well.
A big shout out to Kate Spurgeon (eq 10) and Savannah Noifalise (eq 12). Both attempted for the first time, a new competitive height, Kate in the 70cm class and Savannah in the 90cm class; they were the only competitors to jump clear rounds and ultimately won their respective classes.
The Treverton Equestrian Centre would like to thank their generous sponsors and officials of the event: Nottingham road water, Midlands Tack and Feed, Cynthia Scott, Allison’s Saddlery and Bushhill Stud. They are looking forward to the second part of this challenge which will be held at Clifton School on 1 September.
