This was the 3rd year of Treverton College, hosting the U11 Cricket Festival during the 3rd Term Holidays and it was by far the most successful so far!
They had 10 teams participating. One team from Zimbabwe, some from Johannesburg and some other fairly local teams. Each team played 5 matches on a programme that allowed new opposition to be played against and not old rivals. As it was a festival, results were only for the individual teams’ records and Treverton is proud of their team who displayed a very good standard of cricket and performed very well against some strong opposition. Well done to boys and coaches.
The weather was very good, with no rain to disrupt any of the fixtures. This Festival gives teams opportunities to play against teams that they would not normally encounter in everyday school fixtures and therefore exposes them to a greater variety of players.
