Tennis Tournaments. 🎾 Tennis Update. Rhenish Girls’ High School, Stellenbosch
Rhenish Girls’ tennis players enjoyed a highly successful holiday season, with Cara le Grange, Lisa-Marie du Toit, and Jenna Theron competing with distinction in Tennis tournaments both locally and abroad.
🌟 Lisa-Marie du Toit
Lisa-Marie delivered an exceptional string of performances:
- Winner of the first Stellenbosch J30 tournament
- Semi-finalist in doubles at the second ITF tournament, Fifth place in singles at the first Cape Town Growthpoint tournament
- Doubles champion at the same event
- Winner of the Winelands Growthpoint tournament
- Selected for the SA Schools team at InterPro
Remarkably, she achieved all of this while remaining unbeaten at NM 1 for Cavaliers.
🌟 Jenna Theron
Jenna impressed at the Stellenbosch J30 tournament:
- Quarter-finalist in singles
- Doubles champion (partnering Charlotte Bouwer from Hoër Meisieskool Bloemhof) in both weeks of the tournament
🌟 Cara le Grange
Cara, accompanied by coach Sunel Malan, represented Rhenish on the international stage:
- Qualified for the main draw of the Eddie Herr tournament in Bradenton, Florida, reaching the second round
- Competed in the Orange Bowl in Fort Lauderdale, advancing to the first round of qualifying
- Progressed to the third round in Boca Raton, Florida
These are outstanding results against strong international opposition.
Congratulations to Cara, Lisa-Marie, and Jenna on their remarkable achievements. You continue to make Rhenish proud!
