On Thursday evening, 23 January, the Prep swimming season began with our highly anticipated Championship Gala held at the Pine Street Pools. Our boys thoroughly enjoyed the experience of swimming in a world class venue where many Olympians have gone before them. We especially congratulate our U9s who swam in their first competitive gala and did so well. The evening ended off with an exhibition swim – Matthew Sates, one of our Senior School brothers and a highly promising swimmer in our country, raced against four of our senior boys in the Prep School and then shared some words of advice after. This was thoroughly enjoyed by all the spectators. We thank the Senior Primary School staff and Seals Swimming Club for all their hard work to ensure a very successful evening of competitive swimming. – Mr Gregg Cole-Edwardes (Head of Prep Sport)
